5 Rainy Day Activities for Kids guest written by Sara Dawkins

Rainy DayThe weekends are your kid’s time to run wild and free by bike riding and enjoying the great outdoors. But unfortunately, the weather man has predicted a rainy weekend. Worried how to keep the kids entertained? Have no worries here are 5 different rainy ideas to keep your kids happy:

Movie Marathon:
Rainy days just scream movie time. Let the kids choose two of their favorite movies and allow them to watch with popcorn in hand. Stack up some pillows and blankets and let them lounge. This is a great opportunity for you to have a few hours to get some things done around the home. And don’t forget the hot coco!

Make a Reading Tent: This is a fun project that can keep the kids busy for hours. Grab all the blankets and pillows you can find and let them build a tent. This isn’t just a regular old tent but a reading tent! Let them choose several book to read then prepare non-messy snacks and hand over some flashlights for inside the tent. Don’t be surprised if they end up taking a nap in that cozy new tent.

Cooking Class: A perfect time to try out that cookie recipe you found on Pinterest and a great way for your kids to learn the basics of kitchen skills and safety.
