Kids Take Over UBC!

Celebrate Family Day weekend by bringing your entire family to the 3rd Annual Kids Take Over UBC on Sunday, February 16!

On the UBC campus, kids and youth will take on adult-sized roles, working alongside staff and volunteers to participate and promote arts and culture.

Tickets start at just $40 for the entire family to enjoy a day at UBC's world class museums, art galleries, and other amazing arts organizations. Grab them now before we sell out!

Beaty Biodiversity Museum Exhibits Takeover: Have you ever wanted to add your own stories to exhibits and specimens on display in the museum? Work alongside our team to write and display your own creations in the museum for everyone to enjoy.

Museum of Anthropology: The leaders of tomorrow bring the museum alive today! MOA is celebrating the intellectual contributions of our local youth through poetry, murals, and music! Join us for an all-ages workshop to build instruments from repurposed exhibition materials, then play along with our musical guests. UBC Theatre and Film presents "Zee Zee Theatre’s Parents Are a Drag". Join local drag queens Peach Cobblah & Isolde N. Barron for a dress-up spectacular! Add some rainbow to your day at this fun and inclusive event which reminds young ones, parents, caregivers and everyone in between that it’s never too early (or too late) to get silly and dress-up! UBC School of Music: Wind your way through a series of spaces in the Music Building for playful musical adventures. Get your hands on real instruments at the Instrument Petting Zoo. Explore whimsical found-sound instruments in the Musical Playground.Then join the Toy Instrument Orchestra and take a turn conducting. Other fun activities and surprises throughout.
