Over the past fifteen years, the Langley Canada Day Celebrations have become a premiere event with record-setting attendance, family fun and entertainment, community bonding and pride in affirming Canada’s heritage.
Langley Canada Day
Canada Flag Flying in the Wind
This event draws tens of thousands of people, of all ages and abilities, to Langley from surrounding communities. It was voted #1 Summer Festival in the 2008 Langley Advance Annual Reader’s Choice Best of the Best Awards and was mentioned by Prime Minister Stephen Harper in his 2006 Canada Day remarks on Parliament Hill.
Family activities, rides, main-stage entertainment, a car show, an assortment of ethnic foods, dog show, fireworks, pony rides and much more are all on the menu for this fun-filled and exciting event.
This non-profit event is organized entirely by community volunteers who contribute over 18,000 hours throughout the year to plan the celebration. Grants and sponsorship funds are used to offset the entertainment and facility costs. Any additional proceeds are donated to local children and youth organizations.
We appreciate and look forward to the continued support of the Community of Langley.
