Willow View Farms!
September 2018 marks our 25th year of selling produce directly from the farm. We want to promote the value of keeping local communities strong by inspiring people to support local farms. We try to do this by providing a quality product and good service, making people who choose Willow View feel valued. We want all who come here to feel like a part of this family farm, especially in the Fall as they experience and share in the harvest.
U-pick apples, plums, pears, and pumpkins have become a big part of what we do at Willow View. Visiting the farm provides opportunities to "slow down", and enjoy nature at a leisurely pace, while celebrating the enjoyment of local homegrown food. The goal of Willow View is summed up by our motto: "Our home, your farm".
Willow View offers seasonal u-pick. Find more information here.
We grow 22 different varieties of apples, most of which are available to u-pick, as well as in our country store. Popular varieties include: Gingergold, Gala, Elstar, Honeycrisp, Ambrosia, McIntosh and Jonagold. We grow limited amounts of heritage varieties, including Gravenstein, Boskoop, Northern Spy, and Cox's Orange Pippin. See our u-pick page for more information and availability.
Here at Willow View we grow over 50 varieties of pumpkins (including giants ranging from 50-100+lbs)!
Bring the family out in Fall for a day at the farm, and enjoy a hayride to the pumpkin patch where you can pick your own, or grab a wagon and walk out to the patch.
Regular and specialty pumpkins are available for purchase in the yard in case you don't have time to walk out the the patch.
Hayrides through the orchard are available on the last two weekends of September, during our Apple Days Festivals. In October, we offer hayrides to the pumpkin patch every weekend, as well as on Thanksgiving Monday, and the province-wide Pro-D day.
Please note: Hayrides during the week are for scheduled school groups ONLY.
Visit the farm during September and October and stop in at the big red barn to say hi to the animals. From playful goats and sheep, to fluffy bunnies and chicks, to curious pigs and more, there's lots to see and feed! There are many educational boards and fun facts displayed throughout the barn as well.
Free admission to visit the animals. Barn open: September & October only.
Picnic and Playground Area
In Fall set up a Family picnic and play area with covered picnic tables and climb on toys. Covered picnic tables can be reserved on a first come first served basis by calling ahead. You are more than welcome to bring your own food, but NO full-sized bbqs please.
There is no charge for using the picnic and playground area. Only available during Mid-August - October.
Concession stand is open the last two weekends in September, and every weekend in October (including Thanksgiving Monday and the province-wide Pro-D day). Only snack foods are available, including popcorn, chips, apple cider slushies, and hot and cold drinks. No hot food available.
