Location:
The Canadian Museum of Flight is located at the Langley Airport.

General Information:
This is non-profit, volunteer driven museum dedicated to restoring, preserving and showcasing Canada's rich aviation heritage. In the early 1970's, a group of aviation enthusiasts made a move to stop the exodus of historic aircraft leaving Canada for the U.S. and Europe. This group pooled their resources, to acquire as many of these aircraft as possible.

The Museum and restoration site is open year round, and houses over 25 aircraft both static and flying. The aircraft range from a WWII Handley Page Hampden to a T-33 Silverstar. The Canadian Museum of Flight possesses the only displayed Handley-Page Hampden in the world.

Age Group:
Babies: Not appropriate, but fine if they tag along with other kids.

Toddlers: Fun to run around looking at big planes!

Older children: Best for them especially if they like planes and are interested in learning more about them, I think it would be fun to introduce them a little about planes before you go, makes for more of an interesting preview when there is a story behind the plane.

Hours of Operation:
The Museum and Gift Shop is open daily 10:00 am - 4:00 pm.

Cost: (Currently)
Adults $ 5.00
Seniors / Students $ 4.00
Children under 6 $ Free

What is there to Do and See?
The Canadian Museum of Flight at Langley Airport is dedicated to restoring, preserving and showcasing Canada's aviation history. There are more than 25 static and flying aircraft in this hands-on facility.

The Museum is a very “hands-on” facility. We have a Millennium Kids Room, which allows children to learn by touch and feel how an aircraft flies, and what makes an engine work. A large selection of our aircraft can be touched, and the children can feel that aircraft are made not only from aluminum, but also wood and fabric. The Museum is constantly undergoing display changes to allow our visitors to see something new each time they stop by. Visitors can take a chronological walk around the Museum starting with WWI to present day, and can see how large a part Canada has played in aviation history.

Along with the aircraft and displays, the Museum has an extensive aviation gift shop with everything from posters - books - hats - t-shirts - toys - videos and much more.
