Jump around at some Parkour Parks one in Langley, Surrey and Vancouver.

Go to UBC Botanical Gardens and check out the beautiful Tree Walk.

Go for a Nature walk and see some birds, be sure to check out Serpentine Fen or the Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary and bring some bird feed.

Check out the many things you can do at Grouse Mountain.

Check out local parks, visit some in local neighbourhoods or go outside of your area, and check out some really cool parks, such as Terra Nova Adventure Play Environment  in Richmond, See the park and the fairy houses in Redwood Park in Surrey, Queenston Park in Coquitlam, Queens Park in New Westminster,  Lions Park in Port Coquitlam, Hastings Park in Vancouver, Stanley Park Playgrounds in Vancouver and the list goes on, do some research and have some fun!

Try Geocaching, so much fun searching for the location and getting outside is a bonus too!

Play Disc Golf with the family at the many different disc golf locations.

Canadian Museum of Flight in Langley, go check out some really cool old planes, sit inside of the airplanes and watch some take off, lots of fun for a avition enthusiasts.

See the Stars at GMS Observatory, next to the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre, the observatory is admission by donation and offers public viewings on Friday and Saturday evenings (July 1 to Labour Day), and Saturday evenings (Labour Day to July 1).

Take a Aquabus across false Creek. A small boat that stops at different points around False Creek.

Ride the skytrain and take a ride on the Seabus, there are two terminals: Waterfront in Downtown Vancouver, which connects with buses, SkyTrain, and West Coast Express; and Lonsdale Quay in North Vancouver, which connects with an extensive network of North Shore buses. Crossing time is 12 minutes.

Let the kids build in the Adventure Playpark in Coquitlam, and Delta *but make sure they are wearing closed toed shoes and no parents allowed.

Rides and fun at the PNE  or Amusement park at Cultus, lots of fun! Check out Cultus Lake Adventure Park.

Drive out to see the old train tunnels known as the Othello Tunnels which is located just East of Hope.

Check out Maplewood Farm in Vancouver, Maan Farms in Abbotsford or check out the new petting zoo called Meadows Family Farm in Maple Ridge to pet some animals.

Go check out the Greater Vancouver Zoo, make sure to check the feeding schedule before you go so you can see more animals, bring your scooter, inline skates or kids bikes to enjoy the fenced pathways or rent a family pedal bike.

Head to Wildplay in Maple Ridge, they have a younger kids area and older, fun for almost everyone! Ziplining is so much fun.

Head to the waterslides! Bridal falls, Cultus Water & Theme Parks and/or Tsawwassen waterslides now known as Big Splash Waterpark! Also the new affordable Otter Co-op Outdoor Experience in Aldergrove! Go for a drive out to Harrison and check out the Harrison Water Sports Waterpark.

Enjoy a lazy river float close to Vancouver that you have to see to believe. The Alouette River in Maple Ridge is clear and bright and it looks almost as green as the lush forest around it! At the end of your float, you'll arrive at Davidson's Pools and Hot Rocks.

Go to your local fish hatchery and learn all about fish.

Go to Kelowna and visit the Kangaroo Farm.

Rainy Day? Go explore Science World or the Aquarium.

Head to a trampoline park such as Extreme Air Park, Apex or Get Air.

Jump on the jumbo pillow and enjoy some Apple Cider at Tave Family Farm. 

Go mini golfing at Castle Fun Park in Abbotsford or Bear Creek Train in Surrey where you can also ride a train or ride on the mini trains at Burnaby Confederation Park.

Watch a movie at Twilight Movie Theatre in Langley from your car with the family.

Visit the Suspension bridge at Cascade Falls in Mission or Lynn Canyon Park & Suspension Bridge or go to the Caplilano Bridge and go for a hike.

Go to a local Farmer’s Market and meet the local farmers and artisans, some even have an activity for kids to do.

Head to Steveston in Richmond and buy fresh fish and/or prawns right from the boats on the dock and enjoy a stroll around Stevenston Village. Or enjoy food at the many restaurants. Also they now have a shuttle from the skytrain Lansdowne Station directly there for the Summer!

Check out the Richmond Night Markets, enjoy trying new foods, people watching or shopping

Bring Fish and Chips or a picnic to the beach and enjoy the view or play in the sand.

Go camping

Take a ferry to Bowen Island or Salt Spring and go exploring.

Bike rides with the family, find some great bike paths.

Small hikes with the family especially to the waterfalls or a river to swim in.

Go fishing, children under 16 years old are required to obtain a license, however there is no fee.

Look for mini crabs under rocks, explore! Look for muscles, hermits, baby fish, sand dollars, possibly starfish and so much more! Bring a bucket to catch them in so you can learn more about them, but be sure to release before you go.

Go pottery painting at a local studio.

Head to Sunpeaks Resort, Whistler or Harrison Hot Springs for the weekend if you can.

Nature Hunt: Have a nature hunt, go to a local park and give the kids a list to find nature items (pick items that are not needed to be picked) to preserve the forest. For younger kids use pictures to help them find the items!

Berry Picking: Head to a Berry Farm and go picking! Check here or find a local farm, support local.

Go to Fort Langley and enjoy the little shops or go to the Fort Langley National Historic Site

Ride the Carousal and check out the old town in Burnaby Village Museum 

Try a horse riding lesson.

Build at a Home Depot Kid Workshop (runs once a month)

Go karting in Richmond 

Rainy Day? Make a fort, make popcorn and watch a family movie from the fort! Or head to the movie theatres, suggestions by the movie passes at Costco to save money and it includes food too.

Check out the shops, Kids Market and food and shops at Granville Island

Go to the Ice cream shop and enjoy every second! Or make your own ice cream with bananas, add vanilla if you would llike too, we do.
Beaches: Check out a local beach. Don’t let the summer get away from you and you haven’t been to the beach! Look for beach treasures, make a sand castle, splash in the water, look for crabs and enjoy the sun. Vancouver Beaches, Centennial Beach,
