Established in 1916, UBC Botanical Garden is Canada’s oldest continuously operating university botanic garden. Our public display of approximately 12,000 plants represent some 8,000 taxa from BC and around the world, particularly Asian, alpine and native plants.
The Greenheart Canopy Walkway offers an unparalleled aerial perspective of the natural beauty of the west coast forest canopy ecosystem 15 metres above ground.
A traditional Japanese Tea and Stroll garden, Nitobe Memorial Garden highlights carefully placed plants, stones and water features, reflecting an idealized conception and symbolic representation of nature.
