Almond Park
3600 W 12th Avenue (@ Dunbar Street)
Almond Park
exudes a feeling of tranquility. The park offers a fantastic display
of flowering shrubs and magnificent old trees. An upper pathway
winds through a shady grove, leading to the popular playground
area.

Connaught
Park
2390 W 10th Avenue (@ Vine Street)
This busy
park is lined with fantastic oak and catalpa trees, the latter
decorating the fields with their exotic flowers in early summer.
This is an excellent place to enjoy one of the shaded benches,
whether watching kids in the spray park, resting, or observing
a game of soccer or softball.

Delamont Park
2091 W 7th Avenue (@ Arbutus Street)
This small
park features a large children’s playground, partially shaded
by the lacy leaves of tall locust trees. Winding paths add mystery
as they curve between the heritage buildings and the unused rail
right-of-way.

Hadden Park
1905 Ogden Avenue (@ Cypress Street)
Home of the
Vancouver Maritime Museum, Hadden Park is filled with fascinating
bits of Vancouver history, with historic vessels often docking
in harbour. The sparkling waters of English Bay are a popular
attraction at most times of the year.
Kitsilano Beach Park
1499 Arbutus Street (@ Cornwall Avenue)
This very popular park boasts clean sand beaches, beautiful views
of English Bay and downtown Vancouver, the fantastic Watermark
restaurant, and wise lawns perfect for throwing a Frisbee or relaxing
in the sun. The sparkling salt waters of the heated outdoor pool
are especially inviting, and the pool has the distinction of being
Canada’s longest at 137m.

Margaret Pigott Park
2743 Point Grey Road (@ Macdonald Street)
This quiet
park is attractive for those who enjoy a fresh breeze off the
ocean and views of Stanley Park and West Vancouver. A mature Catalpa
tree makes a spectacular show in early summer.
McBride Park
3350 W 4th Avenue (@ Waterloo Street)
McBride is
composed of two parts; one, a large, open sports field and the
other, a combination of tennis courts and children’s play
area surrounded by mature trees. These large trees provide several
quiet places perfect for reading on a bench or having a small
picnic.

Point Grey Park Site at Stephens Street
2699 Point Grey Road (@ Stephens Street)
A lovely stone
wall remains on this former residential lot, enclosing the small
park without blocking the amazing views to English Bay and beyond.
Point Grey Park Site at Trafalgar Street

One of several
small park sites that line the shores of English Bay, this corner
park offers relaxing views of the ocean and West Vancouver. The
ocean breezes move through the towering trees, creating a peaceful
place to sit and enjoy an afternoon.
Point Grey Park Site at Trutch Street
3215 Point Grey Road (@ Trutch Street)
Perched above
the rocky shores of English Bay, this small pocket of lawn offers
wonderful views of Stanley Park and West Vancouver. A wooden viewing
platform is an opportunity for quiet contemplation.
Rosemary Brown Park
W 11th Avenue & Yew Street
A small park
anchoring the west end of the Arbutus Greenway, Rosemary Brown
Park is a charming place to sit and relax. Colourful flowers,
a tiny crabapple grove, and benches help create a cozy and comfortable
place to visit alone or with friends.
Seaforth Park
1620 Chestnut Street (@ Cornwall Avenue)
Walks lined
with delicate ornamental trees provide an interesting contrast
to the substantial architecture of the surrounding Burrard Street
Bridge, Molson Brewery, and Seaforth Armoury. The sunny plaza
is a pleasant place to enjoy lunch.
Tatlow Park
2845 W 3rd Avenue (@ Point Grey Road)
A small rock-lined
stream meanders through Tatlow Park, crossed by small footbridges.
Large trees tower over quiet seating areas, making this a quiet
place to read a book or bring children to enjoy the playground.

Vanier Park
1000 Chestnut Street (@ Whyte Street)
Poised at
the edge of English Bay, Vanier Park boasts wonderful views of
downtown Vancouver and Stanley Park. Tranquil ponds, open fields,
and a wide pathway complement the outstanding waterfront experience.
In addition there is a launching ramp for small craft and a nearby
public marina. Civic buildings located on the main park include
the Vancouver Museum and Planetarium and the City of Vancouver
Archives.

Volunteer Park
2855 Point Grey Road (@ Macdonald Street)
Tucked between
residences, Volunteer Park allows the serene views of English
Bay to filter into the neighbourhood. Towering poplar and locust
trees line a pathway that leads to the pebble beach below.
