Beaconsfield’s large old trees march down the centre of
the park, making this a pleasant place for a stroll or a moment
of contemplation. With grass fields, rolling hills, and playground,
this quiet park is a wonderful destination for a family picnic.

Cariboo Park

Welcoming and appealing,
Cariboo Park is a good place to throw a Frisbee or watch the leaves
change colour in autumn. A small stream and pond add a lush focal
point to this small park.

Carleton Park

Carleton is a quiet
and small park. Tucked into a corner of the Renfrew-Collingwood
neighbourhood, people come here to enjoy a tranquil moment or
to watch their children having fun on the playground.

Collingwood Park

Collingwood Park is
a well-loved community park that is often filled with activity.
The park offers green fields that are perfect for relaxing or
playing at any time of the year, and pathways that are pleasant
for an evening stroll. For children, the playground is an especially
popular destination.

Earles Park

Earles features a popular
little playground tucked into a sheltered corner, and gentle slopes
dotted with some very beautiful trees. First dedicated on March
30, 1961 and named for a bounding street, this park is a pleasant
place to start your day or to enjoy an afternoon stroll.

Falaise Park
3434 Falaise Avenue (@ Worthington Drive)
With four adjacent
sections, Falaise Park stretches into the surrounding community.
The rolling slopes are pleasant to walk, with tree-framed views
of Vancouver and Burnaby available from nearly all corners of
the park. The slopes that afford the expansive views also provide
prime sledding ground for winter fun.

Foster Park

Tucked into the neighbourhood,
this small park is a pleasant place to pause. Bring a book and
sit under a tree for a tranquil moment, or watch the children
having fun on the playground.

Gaston Park

With a grand and welcoming
entry, Gaston Park is both elegant and restful. Garden, sport,
and play areas have been carefully fit into this neighbourhood
park, with the children’s play area surrounded by flowers
and trees.

Melbourne Park
3530 Vanness Avenue (@ Melbourne Street)
This formal park offers
a new face with each season. Walk the cherry-lined paths in spring,
or enjoy the summer sunshine filtering through the ferny leaves
of the black locust trees. Complete with seating, lawn, and tennis
and basketball courts, Melbourne Park is a pleasure to visit.

Norquay Park

Norquay Park is a popular
spot on jogging routes, for tai chi, or for relaxing in the sunshine.
Any of the benches are wonderful places for quiet conversation,
and the tree-lines pathways make for a refreshing walk.

Price Park
3650 Price Street (@ Boundary Road)
A small greenspace
situated on Vancouver’s eastern boundary, Price Park offers
a playground and gently rolling slopes. A combination of established
and newly planted trees line the perimeter of the park. It is
named for one of its bordering streets.

Renfrew Community
Park

Renfrew Park is a hub
of activity, boasting many recreational opportunities. Choose
to visit the library or community centre, play softball, or walk
the winding paths along Still Creek, a part of the park that is
surprisingly secluded and peaceful for such a busy area.

Renfrew Ravine
Park
3900 Renfrew Street (@ E 24th Avenue)
Renfrew Ravine is a
steep, natural area through which runs a portion of Still Creek.
One of the few formal spaces is the German Heritage Plaza on 29th
Avenue, a small and pleasant seating area; several community art
projects and native plant restoration gardens can be found along
the winding, dappled pathway that runs the length of the park
on the east side.
Slocan Park
2750 E 29th Avenue (@ Slocan Street)
Whether sitting near
the playground and enjoying the subtle scent of the linden trees
in late spring, walking the lantern-lined mosaic path, or playing
soccer, Slocan Park is an enjoyable place to be. Another striking
feature in this park is the eagle totem pole standing guard near
the skytrain station entrance.
