Alexandra
Park

Alexandra
is a little park with big views. Visit this welcoming space to
rest on one of the many benches and watch the sun set over English
Bay; a few steps from the seawall, this is also a great place
to people watch. Grand old trees surround the Haywood Bandstand,
a 1988 restoration of the original 1914 Queen Anne heritage structure.

Like the surrounding heritage buildings, the gardens of Barclay
Heritage Square are colourful and well-tended. The many paths
allow exploration of an intricate blend of formal and informal
garden spaces. Both visitors and neighbourhood residents alike
enjoy the friendly and peaceful character of this urban sanctuary.
Cardero Park

Cardero Park
is filled with the sounds of people enjoying the seawall, nearby
floatplanes, and the subtle music of the boats in the harbour.
This linear park extends into Coal Harbour, with views of Stanley
Park, Dead Man’s Island, and the North Shore. It is named
for nearby Cardero Street.
English Bay Beach Park

This long
expanse of beach lines the south portion of the West End. The
park’s trademark palm trees and vibrant flowers create a
tropical atmosphere that delights visitors and Vancouverites alike.
With beautiful sandy beaches, seawall, and busy Denman Street
nearby, English Bay Beach Park is always filled with people.
Morton Park

This eye-catching
park is a showpiece of the West End. Brimming with colourful flowers
and palm trees, Morton Park celebrates Vancouver’s gentle
climate and vibrant spirit.
Nelson Park
1030 Bute Street (@ Nelson Street)
Located in
the heart of the beautiful West End, Nelson Park offers lawns
and seating areas that are enjoyed by all. Pathways lined with
linden trees curve gently through the park, lined with inviting
benches.

Stanley
Park

Stanley Park,
Vancouver's first park, is an evergreen oasis of 400 hectares
(1,000 acres) close to the heart of Vancouver's downtown core.
Its natural west coast atmosphere offering a back drop of majestic
cedar, hemlock and fir trees embraces visitors and transports
them to an environment rich in tranquility.
The park abounds
in wildlife and its features appeal to the naturalist, the plant
lover or one who would do nothing more than relax in beautiful
surroundings.
The Children's Farmyard, Miniature Railway, tennis courts, bathing
beaches, a children's water park, a heated ocean-side swimming
pool, Theatre Under the Stars, the Vancouver Aquarium and the
5.5 mile (8.85 km) perimeter seawall round out the menu of what
a great public park offers. Refreshment stands along with four
restaurants are strategically placed throughout Stanley Park for
your convenience.

Sunset Beach Park

One of Vancouver’s
spectacular beach parks, a seat on a bench under the lacy black
locust trees will quickly charm with its views of English Bay
and Vanier Park. While lovely from the seawall, a step into the
park reveals the large lawns and sandy beaches that are loved
by sunbathers, soccer players, and those out for an invigorating
stroll.
